Thickness Testing

ET-3 – This is the standard instrument used throughout the contact lens industry, worldwide, for measuring center thickness of soft lenses.

This model is designed to accurately measure the thickness of soft contact lenses and other soft materials. It is built to perform with the highest degree of precision and with the highest degree of reliability possible. The instruments will stay in calibration and will continue to function in this manner for many years. It has a range of 1000 microns and reads out in single micron increments. The ET-3 uses a precision transducer system to detect the position of the measuring sensor. The counterbalance and measuring sensor operating system is designed to protect the sample from accidental excessive compression.

Recommended Accessories

ET-3 Calibration Set

Precision measurement set used for both sensor and force calibration. The ET-3 maintains calibration for a long period of time, however if the instrument is heavily used, often moved, or subject to temperature changes, then periodic calibration checks are recommended.

Data Package

This package includes an RS232 data port, cables, and Windows compatible software. It eliminates the need for a chart recorder, and allows for the data to be captured automatically, reducing the risk of operator error when transcribing data.
