Product Return Information

Contact Createch Rehder Development Co. for instructions prior to returning any product.

When an instrument is being returned to Createch Rehder Development Co. for repair, service, calibration, modification or any other purpose, you MUST provide the following information on all export documentation, commercial invoice, airway bill, etc.

Please provide the following on all documents:

  • The “Country of Origin” is the United States.
  • State that “Goods were manufactured in the United States and are being returned to the factory for repairs.”
  • State that “Goods will be returned to your company when repairs are complete.”
  • Include the Createch Rehder Development Co. serial number of the instrument for positive identification.
  • Indicate that Customs Duty charges or taxes, if any, are to be paid by the shipper.

Failure to provide this information creates a situation where import taxes must be paid on the item upon its re-entry into the United States. This is an unnecessary charge. How to Get Repairs

Before attempting to send the instrument in please call us at 833-833-1994 or email [email protected]. Many issues can be solved by you – with a little help from us. Tell us what issues you are experiencing. We’ll analyze the symptoms and determine the best course of action. If a factory repair is required, we’ll issue a Return Material Authorization(RMA) and provide instructions for returning the instrument for repair. It is critical to pack the instrument carefully and assure that it is adequately protected against drops and stacking damage. Please contact us for packing instructions if there is any question regarding proper packaging.  We may also be able to arrange lower shipping and insurance fees on your behalf.

What to Expect

We will provide an estimate before you return your instrument. If the problem is unclear, we may have to examine the instrument before estimating the repair fees. Once we determine the required work, we will provide both time and materials estimates. Repairs typically take two weeks, plus an additional  two days to “burn-in” and calibrate the instrument. If any additional work is required we will advise you before proceeding. Once the repair is complete, the instrument will be returned to you with a detailed report. Repair work is warranted against material and workmanship defects for 1 year.
